Unfortunately, sometimes we are in a place where it is impossible to find a Black Tapioca Pearls
I have a pack of the tiny dried tapioca pearls in my pantry so I searched what the ingredients are. I used to be surprised to ascertain that it only needs one. Tapioca flour! Now, that sounds promising, at least. I used to be unable to seek out tapioca flour though but saw some tapioca starch, which is usually an equivalent thing.

But how do I make them black?
Cooking the pearls in the colored water and letting them sit in it after cooking. I attempted it and it did somehow turn my pearls to a blackish hue but only on the surface and therefore the core remained white. My goal is to possess them as black because the ones you get within the milk tea shops. this suggests a touch more experiments are needed.
I tried adding the color to the water to form the tapioca dough. it had been tricky because the water should be really hot, like just-boiled hot, once you add it to the tapioca flour or starch so you’ve got to figure fast alternatively you’ll get a weird texture that’s wet but powdery at an equivalent time and can never form into a dough.

7. Roll each bit in between your palms to form the round.
8. Bring 2 cups of water to a rolling boil during a small pot or saucepan.
9. Add the tapioca pearls to the boiling water and let it cook for quarter-hour or longer until the specified consistency is achieved. they’re going to also become darker as they cook.
10. Remove from heat and let it rest for a couple of minutes. they’re going to shy away to the first size and can turn black at now.
11. Transfer tapioca pearls into a syrup or a bowl with touch water to stop them from sticking together.
I also find that they’re far better than the dried ones. They cook faster
